  INTRODUCTION OF BLUESEAS BWMS

  ·Working mechanism is electrolysis of salt water to producechlorine and chemically active free radicals, which arepowerful to kill organisms in water

  ·Efficiency and risk assessments had been tested and/orverified by PSB TUV, and DHI. The Class involved were/areDNV GL, RINA and ABS.

  ·It is protected by a patent (national phase-Singapore).

  ·BlueSeas obtained basic approvals from IMO in July 2011.

  ·BlueSeas BWMS is used in an APL container ship (2500TEU and ballast water capacity of 400-500 m3/h). 12-monthtest shows that our system is very stable and has not causedany issue/problem in operation of ship

   Lower pressure drop: no more than 0.5 bar vs 1 to 2 bar ofother BWMSs

  ? -Standard reactor is 400 mm x 400 mm x 1000 mm for 1000 m3/hour

  ? -Reactor can be designed according to space requirement

   Longer life-space of electrode

  ?- Our test shows that electrode for production of chlorine can becontinuously for 6000 hours in one year without maintenance.

  ?- Electrode can last for more than 10 years

  ? IP 22 to 67 and EX

  ? GL approval for use in an APL container ship

  ? Cost of devices/production is

  Total = 30,000 (rectifier) + 20,000 (reactor) + 25,000 (filter) + 8,000 (PLCcontroller) + 4000 (TRO device) + 6000 (sensors) + 7000 (pumps, panels, etc)= 100,000 SGD

  ? Unit price in market is 400,000 – 800,000 USD
